Mirchi bajji recipe for rainy evenings.
It rained here till 5 today, so this happened. Bajji mirchi, the fat light-green ones. Slit and remove seeds. Batter: 1 cup besan, 2 spoons rice flour for the crunch, pinch of vaamu, salt, water till it is idli-batter thick. Oil properly hot, test with a drop of batter first. The Vijayawada touch: after frying, slit them open and stuff with cut onions, coriander and a squeeze of lemon. Cut mirchi bajji is not the same as whole mirchi bajji. Whole is better. This is not up for debate. #mirchibajji #rainyday
