Please read these Terms of Service carefully before using Sagazo. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Introduction & Acceptance

Welcome to Sagazo ("Platform", "we", "us", "our"), a hyperlocal neighbourhood commerce and community platform operated by Sagazo Technologies. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, mobile application, and all related services.

By creating an account, accessing, or using Sagazo in any way, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Sagazo. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years or older.

2. Eligibility

To use Sagazo, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age. Sagazo is strictly an 18+ platform.
  • Possess a valid Indian mobile number for account verification.
  • Confirm your age during the registration process.
  • Be a resident of or present in a city where Sagazo operates.
  • Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under Indian law.

We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, or cancel registrations if we reasonably believe that a user does not meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration & Security

When creating and maintaining your Sagazo account, you agree to the following:

  • One account per phone number. Each Indian mobile number may be associated with only one Sagazo account. Duplicate accounts will be suspended.
  • Accurate information. You must provide truthful and accurate information during registration and keep your profile information current.
  • Password security. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • Account sharing prohibited. Your account is personal and non-transferable. You must not share your login credentials with any other person.
  • Notification of breach. You must notify us immediately at support@sagazo.com if you suspect any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Platform Services

Sagazo provides the following services within your local area:

Social Feed

Post updates, comment, like, and share content with your neighbours. Content is geo-filtered to your selected area.

Marketplace

Buy and sell local products including groceries, homemade food, and crafts. Sellers can create shops and list products for delivery within the service area.

Task Delivery

Request or accept peer-to-peer delivery tasks within your area. Earn money by completing deliveries for your neighbours.

Circles

Join or create community groups based on shared interests, neighbourhoods, or activities. Circles have their own feeds and group chats.

Messaging

Communicate via direct messages with other users or through circle group chats.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of services.

5. User Conduct & Community Guidelines

You agree to use Sagazo in a manner that is lawful, respectful, and in compliance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Hate speech & harassment. Post, share, or transmit any content that promotes hatred, violence, discrimination, or harassment based on race, caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic.
  • Spam & misleading content. Send unsolicited messages, post repetitive content, or publish misleading or false information.
  • Illegal activities. Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, including but not limited to fraud, money laundering, sale of prohibited substances, or any activity that violates Indian law.
  • Impersonation. Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely claim an affiliation with any person or entity.

Content Moderation

Sagazo employs automated and manual content moderation. Posts that receive reports exceeding our threshold are automatically hidden pending review. Our system also enforces a list of banned keywords — content containing these terms will be automatically flagged and hidden.

Violations of these guidelines may result in content removal, account suspension, or permanent termination at our sole discretion.

6. Commerce Terms

The following terms apply to all commercial transactions on Sagazo:

  • Platform fee. A platform fee is applicable on marketplace orders. The current fee structure is displayed at checkout and may be revised from time to time.
  • Pricing. All prices on the Platform are displayed in Indian Rupees (INR). Sellers are responsible for setting accurate prices for their products.
  • Seller responsibilities. Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of product descriptions, images, pricing, and availability. Sellers must comply with all applicable food safety, licensing, and consumer protection laws.
  • Delivery area. All orders and deliveries are limited to the service area of the respective shop. Sagazo facilitates peer-to-peer delivery within the defined radius.
  • Payment methods. Sagazo supports Cash on Delivery (COD) and UPI payments. Additional payment methods may be added in the future.
  • No quality guarantee. Sagazo acts as a marketplace facilitator and does not manufacture, store, or inspect products. We do not guarantee the quality, safety, or legality of products listed by sellers. Disputes regarding product quality are between the buyer and seller.

7. Task Delivery Terms

The following terms apply to all task delivery services on Sagazo:

  • Declared value limits. Tasks have a maximum declared value limit as configured by the Platform. Items exceeding this limit should not be sent via task delivery.
  • Deliverer responsibility. The person accepting a delivery task ("Deliverer") is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of the item to the specified destination.
  • Platform liability. Sagazo acts as a facilitator connecting requesters with deliverers. The Platform is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged items during delivery.
  • Trust levels. Task visibility may be restricted based on trust levels:
    • Friends Only — visible only to your accepted friends on the Platform.
    • Circle Only — visible only to members of your circles.
    • Public Verified — visible to all verified users in your area.
  • Task fallback. If a task is not accepted within a defined time period, it may be automatically assigned to a fallback deliverer.
  • Cancellation. Tasks may be cancelled before acceptance. Once accepted, cancellation is subject to the Platform's cancellation policy.

8. Intellectual Property

  • User content ownership. You retain all ownership rights to the content you create and post on Sagazo, including text, images, and other media.
  • License to Sagazo. By posting content on the Platform, you grant Sagazo a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable license to use, display, reproduce, distribute, and modify your content solely for the purpose of operating and improving the Platform.
  • Sagazo intellectual property. The Sagazo name, logo, brand elements, and all Platform software, design, and technology are the intellectual property of Sagazo Technologies. You may not use, copy, or distribute any Sagazo intellectual property without our prior written consent.

9. Privacy & Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms.

DPDP Act Compliance

Sagazo is committed to compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India. We process your personal data only for lawful purposes with your consent, and you have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data as provided under the Act.

Data We Collect

  • Account information: phone number, name, profile photo, and location data.
  • Usage data: interactions with posts, shops, tasks, and other Platform features.
  • Location data: your selected area and, with your permission, precise GPS coordinates for geo-filtered content delivery.
  • Transaction data: order history, payment method used, and delivery details.
  • Communications: messages sent through the Platform's messaging feature.

10. Content Removal & Moderation

  • Right to remove. Sagazo reserves the right to remove, hide, or restrict any content that violates these Terms, our Community Guidelines, or applicable law, without prior notice.
  • Report mechanism. Users can report content or other users that they believe violate our guidelines. All reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
  • Auto-hide threshold. Posts that accumulate reports exceeding the configured threshold are automatically hidden from public view pending manual review.
  • Admin actions. Platform administrators have the ability to restore wrongly hidden content or permanently remove content that violates our policies.
  • No obligation to monitor. While we strive to maintain a safe and respectful community, Sagazo is not obligated to monitor all user content and is not responsible for content posted by users.

11. Account Termination

  • User-initiated deletion. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page. In compliance with the DPDP Act, all your personal data will be erased upon account deletion, subject to any legal retention requirements.
  • Sagazo-initiated termination. We may suspend or terminate your account at any time if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or otherwise pose a risk to the Platform or other users. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of account actions.
  • Effect of termination. Upon account termination:
    • Your access to the Platform will be immediately revoked.
    • Your content may be removed from public view.
    • Any pending orders or tasks will be cancelled.
    • Your personal data will be deleted in accordance with the DPDP Act and our Privacy Policy.
  • Survival. Sections relating to Intellectual Property, Limitation of Liability, and Governing Law shall survive account termination.

12. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW:

  • As-is basis. The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
  • User-to-user disputes. Sagazo is not a party to and shall not be liable for any disputes, claims, or damages arising from transactions or interactions between users, whether related to marketplace purchases, task deliveries, or other activities on the Platform.
  • Marketplace products. We do not inspect, endorse, or guarantee any products listed on the marketplace. The quality, safety, legality, and accuracy of product listings are the sole responsibility of the seller.
  • Task delivery outcomes. Sagazo is not liable for the loss, damage, or theft of items during task delivery, nor for delays in delivery.
  • Limitation. In no event shall Sagazo's total liability to you for all claims exceed the amount paid by you to Sagazo in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability, or INR 5,000, whichever is less.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, you agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at support@sagazo.com. We will make reasonable efforts to resolve the matter within 30 days of receiving your communication.

14. Changes to Terms

Sagazo reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
  • Notify users through the Platform (via in-app notification or prominent banner).
  • For significant changes, provide at least 15 days' notice before the new terms take effect.

Your continued use of the Platform after the revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account.
