Everything you wanted to know about Sagazo: ordering, selling, Circles, and how the whole thing works.
About Sagazo
What is Sagazo?
Sagazo is a social network for India. It combines a freestyle community feed, a marketplace where sellers pay zero commission, and Circles (community groups) -- one app, one identity, open to people nationwide.
Where is Sagazo available?
Sagazo is national -- anyone across India can join, post, and connect. If you have feedback or want to reach us, the Contact page is the best place.
Is Sagazo free to use?
Yes. Browsing, posting, joining Circles -- all free. Sellers pay zero commission. That's the whole pricing model.
How is Sagazo different from other apps?
Sagazo puts a freestyle social network, communities, and a zero-commission marketplace on a single identity. Sellers keep their full product price, so they actually make money from being on the platform -- no 20-30% commission skimmed off every sale.
Ordering
How do I place an order?
Open the marketplace, browse products, add what you want to cart, and check out. The seller ships your order to you, and you keep an eye on it from your orders page.
What fees are charged on an order?
Rs 15 platform fee per order + a 10% delivery fee (calculated on the products subtotal). Both paid by the buyer. The delivery fee covers getting your order to your door. The seller keeps their full product price -- we charge sellers zero commission.
What are delivery slots?
Three scheduled slots: morning (7--11 AM), afternoon (12--4 PM), evening (5--9 PM). Which slots are available depends on when you're placing the order -- early morning means all three today are open, while afternoon orders might only have evening today plus options for tomorrow. Quick delivery (within the hour) is coming later.
Can I cancel an order?
Yes -- while it's still in "Placed" or "Accepted" status, before the delivery person has picked up your items. Once they've collected your stuff and are on the way, cancellation isn't an option. Any online payment gets refunded to your original method; cash-on-delivery orders don't have anything to refund.
What if an item I ordered is unavailable?
The delivery person checks availability at pickup. If something is out of stock, it gets flagged on your order -- you only pay for what actually gets delivered. You'll see which items made it and which didn't on the order detail page.
Delivery
Who delivers my order?
The seller delivers your order to you directly.
What's the OTP at delivery for?
When your order is out for delivery, a 6-digit OTP shows up on your order page. The delivery person asks for this code when they arrive -- you share it, they enter it on their end, and the delivery is confirmed. It's verification that the right person got the right order.
How do I track my order?
Check your orders page inside the app anytime. You'll see the order status (Placed to Accepted to Picked up to Delivered), who your delivery person is once someone accepts, and item-level updates in real time. No refreshing needed.
Is it safe to meet a delivery person?
Deliveries are handled by Sagazo on a fast local route within your city, and every drop-off is confirmed with a one-time OTP. If you'd rather not hand over at your door, you can ask to meet at the gate or a landmark near your building. Any special instructions go in the order address.
Selling on Sagazo
How do I become a seller?
Go to the Sell page, fill in your business details (name, category, location, phone), and add your first products. Takes about 5 minutes. You keep the full sale price of whatever you sell -- we charge no commission.
Is there any commission or subscription fee?
Zero commission. No monthly subscription. No listing fee. Whatever price you set for your product, that's what lands in your hands. Operations are covered by the small per-order fee the buyer pays.
Do I need a GST number to sell?
No. GST is optional -- you can add it if you want for billing purposes. Most small sellers (home creators, artisans, independent makers) don't need one.
How do returns work?
Returns are informal for now. If a buyer has an issue with an order, they can reach out through the order page. Most problems get resolved directly between buyer and seller. A more structured return flow is on the roadmap.
Do I need to actively manage orders?
Not really. When someone orders, delivery gets arranged automatically. Sagazo's delivery comes to your shop or wherever the products are, collects the items, and brings them to the buyer. Your job is mostly keeping your product list accurate -- prices, availability, photos.
Circles
What are Circles?
Community groups for any interest, trade, hobby, or place. Each Circle has its own feed, member list, and group chat. Think of it as a cleaner version of a WhatsApp group -- without good morning forwards and random images burying the useful stuff.
How do I join a Circle?
Go to the Circles page, browse public Circles, and tap Join. Private Circles are invite-only -- for those, the creator needs to invite you or share an invite link.
Can I create my own Circle?
Yes. Tap the Create Circle button on the Circles page. Fill in a name, description, and set visibility (public or private). New Circles go through a quick admin review before being visible to others.
Payments
What payment methods do you accept?
Cash on delivery for now. Hand over the cash when your order arrives.
When will UPI be available?
We're working on it. For now, cash keeps things simple -- you see the product, you pay. No card details to save on an app you're trying for the first time.
Do I get a receipt for my order?
Yes -- each order has a unique number (SG-YYYYMMDD-NNNN format) and the order detail page serves as your record. Shows items, prices, delivery details, and status updates.
Account & Privacy
How is my data protected?
You sign in with a one-time code sent to your phone -- there are no passwords to store or leak. Your location, orders, and activity stay within Sagazo and aren't sold to advertisers. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
How do I delete my account?
Go to Settings to Account to Delete Account. Your profile, posts, and personal data get removed. Past orders are kept in anonymized form for legal and accounting purposes (order records are required for tax compliance).
How do I report a problem or abuse?
Every post, seller, user, and Circle has a Report option in the three-dot menu. Reports go to our moderation team and get reviewed. For urgent issues, reach us through the Contact page.
